The Flint Hills (or more usually simply the Flints) comprise a few rolling summits which are the westernmost of the Airngath Hills, on the border between West Lothian and Falkirk Council Areas. They rise to around 124m (407 feet). Local residents travelling between Linlithgow and Bo'ness describe the route as "going over the Flints". Wester Flints Plantation is a substantial strip of woodland, although little remains of Easter Flints Plantation which has given way to the West Lothian Golf Course.
