Hillend Hill

A summit within the Pentland Hills of N Midlothian, Hillend Hill rises to 345m (1131 feet) on the northeastern flank of Caerketton Hill, close to the border with the City of Edinburgh Council Area, a half-mile (1 km) south southeast of Swanston and a similar distance west of Damhead Holdings. A hill-fort occupies the summit, which has commanding views to the north and east. Although robbed of much of its stone, the positions of both inner and outer walls remain clear.
