A modest summit on the west coast of the Rhins of Galloway in Dumfries and Galloway, Rough Cairn Hill lies behind cliffs and reaches a height of 109m (357 feet) a mile (1.5 km) northwest of Knock & Maize and 2½ miles (4 km) south southwest of Lochnaw Castle.
