Bog Stank

Bog Stank rises from a spring to the north of Eastfield in Cumbernauld (North Lanarkshire) and then flows east along the margins of Eastfield Cemetery to meet the M80 motorway, which it flows alongside for a quarter-mile (0.5 km) heading northeast, before turning towards Cumbernauld Village. It then turns east once again to flow through the policies of Cumbernauld House and Cumbernauld Glen Nature Reserve to meet the Red Burn, having completed a course of 2¼ miles (3.5 km). This "meeting of the waters", or comar nan allt in Gaelic, gives its name to Cumbernauld.
