White Hill

A hogback in The Machars of Dumfries & Galloway, White Hill rises to 104m (341 feet) above Dirnean Moss, a half-mile (0.8 km) west southwest of Dernaglar Loch and 3½ miles (5.5 km) east of Glenluce. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area and is aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of glacial flow. Confusingly there are a number of other drumlins hereabouts also called White Hill, the closest being just White Hill 2 miles (3 km) to the north northwest and 4½ miles (7 km) to the northeast.
