Red Hill

A substantial hogback in The Machars of Galloway, Red Hill represents a well-defined drumlin which rises to 91m (298 feet) a mile (1.5 km) northwest of Whitefield Loch and 2 miles (3 km) east southeast of Glenluce. This is part of an extensive drumlin field, with its principal axis aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of ice flow.
