An elongated hogback in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Blairshinnoch Hill rises to 66m (216 feet) a quarter-mile (0.4 km) northwest of Airyhassen and 1½ miles (2.5 km) east of Mochrum. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area and is aligned NE-SW suggesting the direction of flow of an ancient glacier.
