Alexandra Parade

A suburban railway station in Glasgow, Alexandra Parade (known in Gaelic as Pairèad Alexandra) lies on the North Clyde Line, to the northeast of Dennistoun and 2 miles (3 km) east of the city centre. It opened in 1877 on the City of Glasgow Union Railway. It is preceded by Barnhill Railway Station, 1¼ miles (2 km) to the north northwest, and followed by Duke Street, a quarter-mile (0.5 km) to the south southwest. Operated by ScotRail, Alexandra Parade Railway Station is unstaffed and is used by 142,610 passengers per annum (2009-10). Alexandra Park lies to the northeast.
