Bearsden Railway Station

Bearsden Railway Station (known in Gaelic as Cille Phàdraig Ùr or New Kilpatrick) lies on both the Argyle Line and the North Clyde Line, a quarter-mile (0.5 km) south southwest of the centre of Bearsden. It opened on the Glasgow & Milngavie Junction Railway in 1863 and has two platforms. It is preceded by Westerton Railway Station, a mile (1.5 km) to the south, and followed by Hillfoot, a half-mile (1 km) to the east northeast. Now operated by ScotRail, Bearsden Station is staffed part-time and is used by 565,600 passengers annually (2016).
