Garve Railway Station


(Gairbh)

A railway station on the Kyle of Lochalsh branch of the Highland Railway, Garve (Gael: Gairbh) is located 5 miles (8 km) northwest of Contin and 5½ miles (9 km) west northwest of Strathpeffer in Highland Council Area. This station opened on the Dingwall & Skye Railway in 1870 and is now operated by ScotRail. It is preceded by Dingwall Railway Station, 10 miles (16 km) to the east, and followed by Lochluichart, 4½ miles (7 km) to the west. Garve Station is unstaffed and used by only around 5000 passengers in 2015.
