Roy Bridge Railway Station

(Drochaid Ruaidh)

A single-platform halt on the West Highland Line, Roy Bridge Railway Station (Gael: Drochaid Ruaidh) is located to the south of the A86 trunk road in the small village of Roybridge, immediately to the southwest of Roybridge Primary School in Highland Council Area. It opened with the line in 1894 and is now operated by ScotRail. A passing loop was removed in the 1960s, leaving a solitary line. The station is unstaffed and is used by only around 4000 passengers each year (2016). It is preceded by Tulloch Railway Station, 5 miles (8 km) to the east, and followed by Spean Bridge, 3 miles (5 km) to the west.
