Finnieston Tunnel

The westernmost of three twin-track railway tunnels which take the North Clyde Line beneath the centre of Glasgow, the Finnieston Tunnel connects Charing Cross Railway Station with Partick Railway Station. It is 681m (2235 feet) in length and runs under Kent Road. Built using the cut-and-cover method as part of the Glasgow City & District Railway, it opened in 1886.
