Eldindean

A small district of Lasswade in Midlothian, Eldindean lies to the southeast of the settlement, next to Bonnyrigg. Eldindean began as rows of cottages built along the northern side the Esk Valley railway in the mid-19th C. The area developed with the construction of four-flat blocks of public housing in the late 1930s.
