A mixed residential and industrial district of Livingston in West Lothian, Kirkton extends west from the Almondvale Shopping Centre in the town centre. To the north, it incorporates the original Livingston Village, which includes the old parish church, hence the name Kirkton. Further housing lies at Kaims on the opposite bank of the River Almond. 103 homes for rent are managed by West Lothian Council. Industry is located on Kirkton Campus, which lies to the west, bisected by the Killandean Burn. The 17th-century Alderstone House lies within this business park.
