Deer Park

An affluent residential district on the northern edge of Livingston (West Lothian), Deer Park lies to the north of Nether Dechmont and Knightsridge, on the southeastern slopes of Dechmont Law, 2¼ miles / 3.5 km north northwest of the town centre. Developed on part of the former Dechmont Estate from the 1980s until the 2000s, the housing comprises mostly larger detached properties with a few blocks of private flats. Surrounding the golf course of the Deer Park Golf and Country Club, the street names take a golfing theme. With the exception of Golf Course Road, they are 'Greens' and are named after notable golfers, for example Anderson Green, Braid Green, Duncan Green, Gallacher Green, Herd Green, Jones Green, Panton Green, Player Green, Sarazen Green, Taylor Green, Vardon Green and Watson Green.
