Loch an Tairbh

A lochan lying immediately to the north of the A9 Trunk Road in Badenoch, Loch an Tairbh is located a mile (1.5 km south southwest of Kingussie. It represents a water-filled kettle hole, formed during the deglaciation of the area. It is surrounded by kames on the southern side of a wide outwash plain.
