Islay House Square

A business centre occupying historic buildings to the east of Islay House in the centre of the island of Islay in Argyll & Bute, Islay House Square was built in the 1790s by Walter Campbell (1741 - 1816), to provide his house and home farm with workshops, stables and accommodation for servants. Today it serves as a hub for local businesses, including the Islay Ales, the island's first micro-brewery which opened in 2004, Nerabus Gin, the Islay Quilters, a carpentry workshop, together with food and craft shops.
