South Newmoor Industrial Estate

An industrial park in Irvine, North Ayrshire, South Newmoor Industrial Estate lies to the east of the A78 trunk road and is separated from North Newmoor Industrial Estate by the Annick Water. It is divided into two distinct sections by the B7081 road and the Newmoor Interchange. Created by the Irvine Development Corporation in 1976 and extended in 1991, it comprises a medium-sized industrial units, with areas yet to be developed. Scottish & Universal Newspapers opened a printing plant here in 1978. The streets are named after inventors and engineers; Macadam, Mackintosh, Telford and Whittle.
