Sgurr Mhor

The highest of the summits of Beinn Alligin in Wester Ross, Sgurr Mhor rises to 986m (3235 feet) and qualifies as a Munro. This peak is composed of sandstone and capped with quartzite. Its name originates from Gaelic and appropriately, since it is the highest top on Beinn Alligin, can be translated as "big peak". There are other peaks named Sgurr Mor 21 miles (33 km) to the south and 22 miles (35 km) to the east northeast.
