A small promontory which juts out into Loch Ewe in Wester Ross and forms part of the Inverewe Estate. The name is Gaelic for 'the high lump'. It was once a rugged, bare mass of red Torridonian Sandstone, but was developed to support the remarkable Inverewe Garden from 1862, when the estate was acquired by Osgood Mackenzie (1842 - 1922).
