Remotely located north of Kinlochewe, in the western part of the district of Ross and Cromarty in Highland Council, this peak rises to a height of 1015m (3331 feet) and qualifies as a Munro. A subsidiary summit reaches 981m / 3218 feet a quarter-mile (0.5 km) to the east. In contrast to its neighbours, Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair consists of steep and bouldery flanks, with scree gullies and protruding crags. The summit cone is composed of Cambrian quartzite. The name is Gaelic and means "summit of the corrie of Farquhar's son".
