Keppoch

A locality in Kilmonivaig Parish, Highland Council Area, Keppoch lies to the north of the River Spean close to its junction with the Roy, directly opposite Roybridge and 16 miles (26 km) north northeast of Fort William. This is the site of a castle and motte, the former was demolished in 1663. The ownership of the land was disputed between the Macintoshes and the MacDonells of Keppoch in 1688. What is said to have been the last clan battle to take place in Scotland was fought as a result.
