A sizeable cemetery on the roadside a half-mile (1 km) northeast of Oban and 1¼ miles (2 km) southwest of Dunstaffnage, the Pennyfuir Cemetery has been open since the 19th C. It remains open for burials today.

Pennyfuir is the last resting place of Glasgow ship-owner David Hutcheson (1799 - 1880), philanthropist Percy Unna (1878 - 1950) and Lady Frances Shand-Kydd (1936 - 2004), the mother of Princess Diana. There are also eighty-one graves from the First and Second World Wars maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
