Parish of Dryfesdale

Dryfesdale is a parish, which lies in Dumfries and Galloway Council Area, some 10 miles (16 km) north of Annan and 14 miles (23 km) west of Langholm in Dumfries and Galloway.

It is located in the old county of Dumfriesshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 41.9 sq. km (16.2 sq. miles) and includes the settlement of Lockerbie. Dryfesdale has 6 neighbouring parishes; namely Applegarth, Dalton, Hutton & Corrie, Lochmaben, St Mungo and Tundergarth.
