Parish of Barra Barra is an island parish, which lies in the Western Isles Council Area, some 56 miles (90 km) southwest of Portree in Highland and 59 miles (94 km) northwest of Tobermory in Argyll and Bute and includes 4 other small offshore islands.It is located in the old county of Invernessshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 61.2 sq. km (23.6 sq. miles).
