Parish of Crathie and Braemar Crathie and Braemar is a parish, which lies in Aberdeenshire Council Area, some 19 miles (31 km) southeast of Aviemore in Highland and 23 miles (37 km) northeast of Pitlochry in Perth and Kinross.It is located in the old county of Aberdeenshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 740.1 sq. km (285.7 sq. miles) and includes the settlement of Braemar.
