Parish of Fordoun Fordoun is a parish, which lies in Aberdeenshire Council Area, some 10 miles (17 km) south of Banchory and 11 miles (18 km) west of Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire.It is located in the old county of Kincardineshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 108.9 sq. km (42 sq. miles).
