Parish of Fowlis Easter

Fowlis Easter is a small parish, which lies in Angus Council Area, some 6 miles (10 km) west of Dundee in Dundee City and 8 miles (13 km) northwest of Newport-on-Tay in Fife.

It is located in the old county of Forfarshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 11.4 sq. km (4.4 sq. miles). Fowlis Easter has 5 neighbouring parishes; namely Auchterhouse, Kettins, Liff & Benvie, Longforgan and Lundie. The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889.
