Parish of Strathmiglo

Strathmiglo is a parish, which lies in Fife Council Area, some 7 miles (10 km) southwest of Newburgh in Fife and 7 miles (11 km) northeast of Kinross in Perth and Kinross.

It is located in the old county of Fife, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 37 sq. km (14.3 sq. miles). Strathmiglo has 8 neighbouring parishes; namely Abernethy, Arngask, Auchtermuchty, Collessie, Falkland, Kettle, Orwell and Portmoak. The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889.
