Parish of Kincardine

Kincardine is a parish, which lies in Stirling Council Area, some 5 miles (8 km) southwest of Dunblane and 6 miles (9 km) northwest of Stirling in Stirling.

It is located in the old county of Stirlingshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 41.8 sq. km (16.1 sq. miles). Kincardine has 6 neighbouring parishes; namely Dunblane & Lecropt, Gargunnock, Kilmadock, Kippen, Port Of Menteith and St Ninians. The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889.
