Parish of Alloa

Alloa is a coastal parish, which lies in Clackmannanshire Council Area, some 5 miles (8 km) east of Stirling and 7 miles (12 km) southeast of Dunblane in Stirling.

It is located in the old county of Clackmannanshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 28.8 sq. km (11.1 sq. miles) and includes the settlement of Alloa. Alloa has 4 neighbouring parishes; namely Alva, Clackmannan, Logie and Tillicoultry. The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889.
