Parish of Dunoon and Kilmun

Dunoon and Kilmun is a coastal parish, which lies in Argyll and Bute Council Area, some 10 miles (15 km) northwest of Greenock in Inverclyde and 10 miles (16 km) west of Helensburgh in Argyll and Bute.

It is located in the old county of Argyllshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 183.7 sq. km (70.9 sq. miles) and includes the settlement of Dunoon. Dunoon and Kilmun has 4 neighbouring parishes; namely Inverchaolain, Kilmodan, Lochgoilhead & Kilmorich and Strachur.
