Parish of Haddington

Haddington is a parish, which lies in East Lothian Council Area, some 8 miles (12 km) east of Prestonpans in East Lothian and 14 miles (22 km) northeast of Bonnyrigg in Midlothian.

It is located in the old county of East Lothian, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 49.7 sq. km (19.2 sq. miles) and includes the settlement of Haddington. Haddington has 9 neighbouring parishes; namely Aberlady, Athelstaneford, Bolton, Garvald & Bara, Gladsmuir, Morham, Prestonkirk, Saltoun and Yester.
