Parish of Stronsay

Stronsay is an island parish, which lies in Orkney Council Area, some 15 miles (25 km) northeast of Kirkwall and 27 miles (43 km) east of Stromness in Orkney and includes 2 other small offshore islands.

It is located in the old county of Orkney, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 34.4 sq. km (13.3 sq. miles). The boundaries of this parish were modified as a consequence of the Local Government (Scotland), 1894.
