Birsay and Harray is a coastal island parish, which lies in Orkney Council Area, some 9 miles (14 km) north of Stromness and 12 miles (19 km) northwest of Kirkwall in Orkney.
It is located in the old county of Orkney, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 118.6 sq. km (45.8 sq. miles). Birsay and Harray has 4 neighbouring parishes; namely Evie & Rendall, Firth, Sandwick and Stenness.
