Gigha and Cara is a small island parish, which lies in Argyll and Bute Council Area, some 18 miles (29 km) southwest of Tarbert and 19 miles (31 km) north of Campbeltown in Argyll and Bute and includes another small offshore island.
It is located in the old county of Argyllshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 13.6 sq. km (5.2 sq. miles).
