Parish of Kilbride

Kilbride is a coastal island parish, which lies on the island of Arran in North Ayrshire Council Area, some 15 miles (25 km) west of Saltcoats in North Ayrshire and 17 miles (28 km) south of Rothesay in Argyll and Bute and includes another small offshore island.

It is located in the old county of Bute and Arran, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 154.9 sq. km (59.8 sq. miles) and includes the settlement of Brodick. Kilbride lies next to Kilmory parish.
