Janice Rankin


1972 -

Curling champion. Living in Inverness, Rankin was a member of the Scottish Curling Team which took the Gold Medal in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City (USA). Along with Rankin, the team comprised Rhona Martin (b.1966), Fiona MacDonald (b.1974), Margaret Morton (b.1968) and Debbie Knox (b.1968).

Rankin won a silver medal at both the World Ladies Event (1994) and the European Championships (1998).

She was awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List (2002).
