Child actress. Born in Dundee, Ripley appeared as Jemima in the classic film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the age of seven. However, after the film was released in 1968 and the divorce of her parents, Ripley shunned the publicity and moved to Ireland with her mother. She now lives in Broughty Ferry and is better known as an environmental campaigner.
