Actor. Born in Glasgow, Lennie was educated at Eastbank Academy in Shettleston. He began his career in theatre, but soon took minor roles in succession of war films; namely Tunes of Glory (1960), The Great Escape (1963), 633 Squadron (1964) and Oh! What a Lovely War (1969). He also appeared on television in the science-fiction series Dr Who (1967 and 1975), the soap opera Crossroads (1974-80) and light-hearted drama Monarch of the Glen (2001-03).
