Iain Stirling


1988 -

Comedian and television presenter. Born in Edinburgh, Stirling was educated at Liberton High School and completed a law degree at the University of Edinburgh before turning to a career in comedy. He was a finalist in the Chortle Student Comedian of the Year at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. He is noted for his standup comedy shows around the UK.

Stirling was a continuity presenter on the CBBC television channel (2009-13) and his series The Dog Ate My Homework for that channel brought him a BAFTA nomination in 2014. He has been the narrator of the popular reality show Love Island for ITV, and its equivalent in the USA.
