Prof. Henry Cullen


1758 - 1790

Physician. Born in Edinburgh, the younger son of the noted chemist and physiologist Prof William Cullen (1710-90), he was educated at the High School in the city and then read medicine at University of Edinburgh. He worked as a senior physician at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh but died at just 33, a few months after his father. With his father and older brother, he was a founding fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 1783.
