Caaf Reservoir

A small reservoir with an earth embankment dam completed in 1906 in North Ayrshire, the Caaf Reservoir lies on the course of the Caaf Water, 2½ miles (4 km) west of Dalry and 4½ miles (6.5 km) east northeast of West Kilbride. It is operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water and covers an area of 12.1 ha (29 acres). The reservoir is stocked with rainbow trout for recreational fishing.
