A ruined tower-house located at Lagg Farm, 1¼ miles (2 km) northeast of Dunscore in Dumfries and Galloway, Lag Castle (also Lag Tower) dates from c.1526 and was once home to the Griersons of Lag. A substantial section remains of this tower, which once rose to four storeys.
