Invershin Railway Station


(Inbhir Sin)

A halt on the Far North Line of the Highland Railway, Invershin (Gael: Inbhir Sin) is located 3 miles (5 km) northwest of Bonar Bridge in Highland Council Area. This station was built by the Sutherland Railway and opened in 1868. Now operated by ScotRail, Invershin Railway Station is unstaffed and was used by only 706 passengers in 2016. It is preceded by Culrain Railway Station, only a quarter-mile (0.5 km) to the south southwest, and followed by Lairg, 5½ miles (9 km) to the north.
