Rob Roy and Trossachs Visitor Centre, Callander

Prominently located in the former St. Kessog's Church in Ancaster Square in Callander (Stirling Council Area) is the Callander Tourist Information Centre (previously known as the Rob Roy & Trossachs Visitor Centre), which provides information about the Trossachs area. Until 2006, it hosted the Rob Roy Story on the first floor, which was an audio-visual presentation telling the story of Rob Roy MacGregor, a clan leader, cattle trader, thief and blackmailer who was a villain to some and a hero to most, and was immortalised in books and film. This exhibition closed due to ongoing financial losses.

The Gothic St. Kessog's Church was built in 1883 to the designs of architect Robert Baldie on the site of the former parish church which dated from the 18th C. The church closed on amalgamation in 1985 and re-opened as a visitor centre in 1990. The building is the property of Stirling Council, but is managed by VisitScotland and Stirling District Tourism Ltd., a charitable company created by the Council.

The Callander Development Trust have stated their intention of developing the unused parts of the church as a community space.
