The principal leisure centre in the New Town, Xcite Livingston is located at in the town centre at Almondvale, opposite the Livingston Designer Outlet. It opened as Bubbles Leisure Pool in 1994 and includes a 20-m (66-foot) swimming pool, with a pair of flumes, water features and river rapids. There is also a teaching pool, gym, fitness studio, sauna & steam room and children's soft-play area. Other facilities include a café, beauty salon and sports physiotherapist.
