Auchengaich Reservoir

A small reservoir with an earth embankment dam in Argyll and Bute, Auchengaich Reservoir is located on the course of the Auchengaich Burn, at the head of Glen Fruin, 2¼ miles (3.5 km) west of Garelochhead. Opened in 1945 for the supply of drinking-water, it is now operated by Scottish Water and covers an area of 6.8 ha (16 acres). A recreational fishery for brown trout managed by Helensburgh Angling Club.
