Kettleton Reservoir

A small reservoir on the course of the Kettleton Burn in NE Dumfries and Galloway, the Kettleton Reservoir is located 2 miles (3 km) south of Durisdeer and 3 miles (5 km) north northeast of Thornhill. Built in 1929 and impounded by an earth embankment dam, the reservoir extends to an area of 21.3 ha (52 acres). It is operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water.
