James Thomson Bridge

A distinctive cable-stayed footbridge which crosses the River Teviot in Hawick, just downstream of its confluence with the Slitrig Water, the James Thomson Bridge opened in 2006. Named in honour of the local poet and songwriter, a bronze sculpture of Thomson by local sculptor Bill Landles was placed at the western end of the bridge.
